I try to stick to my theme of 'birds, plants and other things in the garden', but I'm going to post some pictures from a recent trip to the Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. These two national parks are nature's gardens.
It was snowing May 6th, our first day in Yellowstone. The bison didn't seem to mind.

I would be surprised if these were *not* great pictures! My sister and her hubby live in Casper (east, on the other side of Wyoming) and we went to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone, both in winter (on rented snowmobiles into YS before Reagan's man James Watt closed a lot of that fun) and in the summer (we could wear shorts). In the winter, the buffalo like to lie near the geysers because the ground is warm, but... they have to go out into the snow to uncover food to eat. Also, bison, moose, and many other animals and birds there are accustomed to seeing hoomans and their cars everywhere hoomans are allowed. Fortunately, the parks are largely for non-hoomans :)
