I always look forward to seeing the aloes bloom in winter!

My Venus Flytrap has been doing well. Now that I have had it about 3 months, it is sending up a bloom just before it goes dormant. It's interesting how the Venus Flytrap attracts pollinators to its flowers and other insects to it's leaves/traps! North Carolina State university did a study and found that Venus Flytraps don't eat the insects that pollinate them.

It's always fun to find a surprise in the garden. Today I found a gnome napping in the top of a staghorn fern!
I've been growing this carnivorous pitcher plant for a few months and it's doing well. It's a Sarracenia Hybrid 'White Wizard'. I like the red veins and little hairs on the leaves. I haven't seen any bugs go into to the pitcher yet, but I have seen a couple flying and crawling around the opening. Because of the curvature of the pitcher, I can't see into the bottom to tell if it's digesting any bugs.

I've been playing (cleaning, watering and pruning) my terrariums and I'm happy to report that my propagation of begonia U692/b.erectocarpa is coming along nicely! The first picture is of the mother plant and the rest are the babies growing from leaf cuttings. This is a plant I bought at the 2022 Atlanta begonia convention.
