A Foggy Morning

A foggy morning is a good time to walk around the garden and take pictures of blooms and color.

Hummingbird Nest

My friend Dianne Dunhill has a hummingbird nest in the top of a tall Pachyodium lamerei.  This parent is sitting on two babies.  The nest is made of lichen and spider silk and it is well camouflaged in the top of this plant.  Diane thinks the babies will fledge in a few days.

Pink Echium

I was finishing my bike ride at Goleta Beach and noticed this pink Echium.  There are lots of blue Echiums blooming all over town, but I see very few pink ones.

Wisteria

Just below the balcony, some wisteria is growing up and into a pine tree.  Right now it is blooming! The first picture is looking down from the upper balcony, onto the wisteria.
