Butchart Gardens is located on Vancouver Island in British Columbia Canada and is one of the most outstanding gardens in the world. The sunken garden was originally a limestone quarry. When the limestone had been exhausted Mrs. Butchart had tonnes of topsoil brought in and this was the beginning of an incredible garden. That was back in 1904 and 111 years later here are my pictures!
