Lithops and Tiger Jaws

My Lithops are in bloom.  These are also called stone plants and they are native to Namibia, Africa.

One of my Tiger Jaws (Faucaria tigrina) has been blooming for the last few weeks.  It is native to South Africa.

Color by the front door

Here is some color by our front door.  The Japanese Maples are in full color and starting to drop their leaves.

Autumn leaves are not the only color we have by our front door.  This begonia called Dennis Franz is in bloom.  Yes, it's named after the actor.  As you can see it has bright pink blooms and white spots on the leaves.

I caught this Western Scrub-Jay at the bird bath with my SLR camera.

Pups on the Run!

When I was at the UCSB Lagoon the other day I noticed this guy walking his dogs on the beach.  I think the dogs enjoyed their run on the beach!
