Tillandsia secunda
On the dead pine tree trunk, Mike has planted an assortment of begonias, orchids, bromeliads, tillandsias and an ivy. At the top is this Tillandsia secunda that has a large inflorescence with offsets (pups) all over it.

The House Finches Are Enjoying The Sunflower Seeds!
Today the House Finches are harvesting the sunflower seeds. The other day they were eating the leaves of the sunflower plant (I didn't have my camera). I had been wondering what was making the large holes in the leaves? I'm glad to see they have moved on to a more nutritious part of the plant!

A Spectacular Epiphyllum
This Epiphyllum has a spectacular bloom. It's growing high in a palm tree among some other plants and is hard to spot. It looks like this is the last of about seven blooms. Fortunately Mike spotted this one!
