  1. Very nice. I got a birdcam for Christmas last year, but my photos are not as in-focus as yours. How close is your bird cam to the birdbath and what do you have your focus range set at. How did you get those butterfly photos so clear with the bird cam? Thanks for any info. Susan Grose, Overland Park Kansas

  2. Hi Susan,
The front edge of the birdbath is 21 inches from the BirdCam and the back edge of the birdbath is 40 inches from the BirdCam. So I have the lens set for 24" - 37". Birds on or near the rock in the middle of the birdbath are in focus. Birds on the edge of the birdbath are soft focus. Not all pictures come out sharp and I do a lot of editing. I also have the resolution set to the highest setting and that helps when enlarging or cropping.

Not all pictures on my blog are taken with the BirdCam. I used a digital SLR for the butterflies. Posts with pictures and videos taken with the BirdCam will have BirdCam in the label of the post.

    Good luck with your BirdCam,
    Gary
